Your new place has an existing security system
Many times after you purchase a house, you’ll notice that the old owners didn’t take a security system. All the alarms and cameras function well, are installed in the right spaces, and are ready to go. In this example, all you may have to do is to call and establish a new service contract. A Vivint expert will still come out to make sure there are no usability problems, and they could offer ideas on where you should replace bad outdated components. It's a preliminary trip, and you can get your 24/7 monitoring set up without having a bill for any new components -- unless you get some new devices.
The old owners can move an existing Vivint contract to you for a one-time transfer cost to make the transfer a snap. If the previous owners downsize to an apartment complex or retirement community, transferring the Vivint contract might be an addendum of the sale.
You want to move and take your old equipment with you
You might want to take your existing home security components with you to your new home when you move. Luckily, it's fairly simple to do, as many smart devices are plug and play. You can take down each component by yourself or use a professional expert to come and take down your devices. Then our installers will set up the same features -- and any new items you want -- in your new home. Your home security contract will stay the same.
